It is a craft object where content and form come together to create an artwork that can be admired for its physical beauty and engaged with by opening it up. Books can take our minds away from the present moment into the realm of imagination, memory and aspiration. Likewise the bookwork is a vehicle for thought and expression. Great stuff Jaq - was listening to poetry prog late evening on Radio 4 the other night and have been inspired to get book from the library on writing poetry. Have yet to actually write any new work!
