Everything Begins Elsewhere

Poetry and Music

Tishani Doshi and Max Ablitezer (playing piano) performed in a splendid space ' The Front Room' at Queen Elizabeth Hall. There was a stage with a grand piano and easy chairs and coffee tables so very much like a sitting room or lounge. Doshi began with an ode to be sung in the latest hour of the night and likened yearning to rainfall and spoke of yearning and desire. Her poems were about travelling and yearning for love.

'Everything Begins Elsewhere' is Doshi's second collection of poetry published by Bloodaxe Books.
