The Poetry Garden Market

What a beautiful hot sunny day it was on Saturday.

I found myself sitting in a deckchair on the southbank listening to poetry.

Inpress set up The Poetry Garden Market outside Foyles Southbank and had poetry readings. Those strolling past were invited to stop and listen.

Inpress supports independent small presses who publish poetry.

The librarians from the Saison Poetry Library introduced the poets who were:

Melissa Lee-Houghton
Lotte Kramer
Ira Lightman
John Wedgewood Clarke
Kim Moore
Hannah Lowe
Rhian Edwards

I really enjoyed the Close Reading workshops run by The Poetry School. I like to discover the layers of meaning in a poem and its good to discuss ideas with others.
