The construction and form of the bookwork set it apart from ordinary mass market books. It is a craft object where content and form come together to create an artwork that can be admired for its physical beauty and engaged with by opening it up.
Books can take our minds away from the present moment into the realm of imagination, memory and aspiration. Likewise the bookwork is a vehicle for thought and expression. This blog looks at the book as art and all things related to books.
Going through the process shown in the previous post this time with a fresh piece of paper and noting down what is folded and how and where to cut and then working out the position of the content.
